The Germans’ Point of View on Development and Africa’s Future

Presentation of the GPI Study 2017

In cooperation with Institut für Demoskopie Allensbach

Development policy becomes the Achilles’ heel of German federal policy. For the population its success is a frequent indicator of the cabinets’s general success. Since flight and migration are of central importance to the electorates, flight prevention and thus development policy gain more importance in the upcoming legislative period. These issues are particularly relevant for democratic stability and the limitation of populist tendencies.

Together with Prof. Renate Köcher, the director of the Allensbach Institute, GPI presents the GPI Study 2017 on development cooperation. On this basis, findings are discussed with representatives from media and politics during an exclusive dinner.

Speakers:

  • Prof. Renate Köcher, CEO Institut für Demoskopie Allensbach

Moderation:

  • Dr Ingrid Hamm, Co-Founder and CEO Global Perspectives Initiative
