Lions on the Move II

Presentation of the McKinsey Global Institute Study

In autumn 2016 the McKinsey Global Institute wrote a second report on economic development of the African continent – Lions on the Move II. The analyzes show, how different African countries currently develop.
Jens Riese, one of the responsible authors, presents findings, discusses reasons for success and failure of development, and offers a prognosis for the decade ahead. Amadou Diallo, one of few African top-managers based in Germany, has first-hand experience concerning possibilities and obstacles of economic development in Africa, which he is going to share with us.
What premisses have to be fulfilled for economic successes to become catalysts of sustainable development of African societies?

Speakers:

  • Amadou Diallo, CEO MEA DHL Global Forwarding
  • Dr Jens Riese, Senior Partner McKinsey Global Institute

Moderation:

  • Dr Ingrid Hamm, Co-Founder and CEO Global Perspectives Initiative
