We connect those who belong together.
Particularly important to us is the dialogue between Europe and Africa, because a sustainable future cannot happen without the involvement of the African continent. The fact-based and continuous dialogue between the two continents addresses approaches for sustainable global development and drives future cooperation. Global Perspectives Initiative was founded in Berlin in 2016 by Dr. Ingrid Hamm and Stephan Balzer. Hamm had previously been head of the Robert Bosch Stiftung and Balzer was primarily responsible for bringing the TEDx conference format to Germany. In 2021, the management consultancy PHINEO AG, which specializes in non-profit organizations and the philanthropic sector, became the majority shareholder of Global Perspectives Initiative.
