Foundations for Africa’s Future: Digital Infrastructure, Digital Public Infrastructure and Data Sovereignty for Economic Growth
Conference: The Africa Roundtable N°7
December 2, 2024
Nairobi
Africa’s digital landscape has made great strides: by 2025, half the population in Sub-Saharan Africa will subscribe to mobile services. However, significant gaps in digital infrastructure and services remain. Over-reliance on foreign companies for network technology limits digital sovereignty and data control. Overcoming these challenges is critical for Africa to unlock the full potential of the digital revolution. In the seventh edition of The Africa Roundtable, we explore how expanding digital infrastructure and increasing control over data can boost economic growth and social inclusion across the continent.
