Salon: AI’s Next Chapter is African
June 8, 2026
Factory Berlin
Africa is emerging as a major hub for innovation and artificial intelligence. The continent is home to some of the world’s most diverse data resources, creating new opportunities to develop African-driven solutions to global challenges.
African talent and perspectives should be at the center of this transformation. The continent’s young population sees strong potential in AI as a tool for development and economic growth. Success will depend on investing in education and training, ensuring African voices are represented in data and AI discussions, and building the local infrastructure needed to support innovation.
At our Global Perspectives Salon during TEDxBerlin’s AI Business Day, we highlighted AI innovation across Africa. Our panel brought together leading African voices from Big Tech, academia, and innovation. We discussed the solutions emerging across the continent and identified areas for stronger international collaboration.
